| | |  | Bruce has been at the forefront of America’s tea renaissance since 1990 when he began one of America’s best-known tearooms, the Elmwood Inn in Perryville Kentucky. He has fed the country’s thirst for tea knowledge by producing 12 tea books, including The New Tea Companion with Jane Pettigrew, The Great Tea Rooms of America, The Great Tea Rooms of Britain, Looking Deeply into Tea, three Elmwood Inn recipe books, the Tea in the City travel guides, and Tea & Etiquette with Dorothea Johnson. His stories, photographs, and commentary can be found regularly in Fresh Cup and TeaTime magazines. Bruce has served on the Advisory Board for STI and is a frequent speaker at tea events across the country. He and his wife, Shelley are owners of Elmwood Inn Fine Teas and Benjamin Press. They host TEA 101, an annual seminar for aspiring tea entrepreneurs.
