JapanSencha is the most-consumed green tea in Japan. Our Sencha is grown in the volcanic soil of the southern island of Kyushu, the second-largest tea-growing area in Japan. This beautiful leaf steeps to a lightly vegetative liquor.
Green tea is perfect for cold-steeping. It's healthy because it contains the powerful antioxidant EGCG. Drink four cups each day, hot or cold. Remember never to put boiling water on green tea!

I love many of the green teas on offer with Elmwood. I think of Sencha as being a good introduction to non-green tea drinkers. Mild flavor profile. I drink green tea every morning, so I like to keep Sencha in my regular rotation.
