ChinaElmwood Inn Fine Teas was commissioned by the National Archives in Washington to produce a private-label tea commemorating the 1773 Boston Tea Party, one of the pivotal events in the colonists' struggle for independence.
Five Chinese teas were aboard the three ships in Boston Harbor: three black and two green, including Hyson green tea grown in China and imported by the British East India Company. All 340 chests filled with those five teas teas went overboard on December 16, 1773.
This tea is also available in National Park Gift Stores across New England and in the gift shop at the Boston Tea Party Ships Museum, where our founder, Bruce Richardson, serves as tea master.

Hyson Chinese Green Tea is a soothing tea for day or night time refreshment. I originally had this in a sample packet and decided to buy the tin as it is one of the best green teas that I have had in a long time. Thank you
Best green tea I've ever enjoyed! Have been loyally drinking "American Revolution, Hyson Green Tea" from Elmwood Inn for years. You should too! And its far more cost-effective than buying small tea boxes from the grocery. Thanks Elmwood Inn!
Ladies attending our annual Mother's Day Tea enjoyed the delicious blend from Elmwood Inn. We all loved the Boston Tea Party commerative green and black varieties.
Love this tea!
I love green tea and can be pretty picky about the tea I drink. When my last tea ran out, I bought this and drank it all the time! It's got a wonderful flavor, especially when following the instructions on the container. If steeped for too long, it can get bitter, but that goes for all good green tea.
