Assam Extra Tippy Black Tea - Dinjoye Garden

This is an exceptionally well-made Second Flush plucking filled with beautiful golden tips. This tea steeps to an amber liquor with a sweet mellow taste and lightly-malted aroma. Like a well-made pinot noir, this tea has a silky mouthfeel and a long finish.

Elmwood owners Bruce and Shelley Richardson have started their day with this tea for over ten years. He adds a splash of milk while she drinks it neat.

Less than 500 kg were made this year, and we were able to get 50kg because of our longtime relationship with this exceptional garden.

In Kentucky, we would say this is the "Pappy Van Winkle" of Assam teas. You bourbon drinkers will know what that means.
