The stems for our Kukicha come from premium quality Shizuoka Prefecture tea leaves picked in the early spring, which are then deep steamed. This results in a very light, refreshing Japanese green tea that tastes slightly sweet and nutty. Kukicha hardly ever tastes bitter, even when brewed more than once. Its caffeine content is lower than most other green teas. Available in a 1.5 oz. resealable bag or by the pound.

Steep like a tea professional, and never use boiling water on green tea. 165-175F is the optimal temperature.
