The flat green leaves—made by wok roasting—yield a clear, yellowish-green liquor with a slightly sweet aftertaste. It is prized for four unique qualities: jade color, vegetative aroma, mellow chestnut flavor, and singular shape. It contains the powerful antioxidant EGCG. Drink four cups per day for good health!
Steep like a tea professional; never use boiling water on green tea. The optimal temperature is 165-175F.
This is a very nice green tea, mellow with a vegetable taste. Refreshing on an workaday afternoon.
I drink 2 pots of green tea every morning. I've loved all of Elmwood's teas. I like to have a few options in my cupboard for the variety. Lung Ching is one of my regulars. I will always keep some on the shelf along with Young Hyslop, Gyokura, and Jasmine Pearl.
