This tea was originally hand-blended by Elmwood Inn Fine Teas founder Bruce Richardson while he served as the volunteer mayor of the village of Perryville, Kentucky. He first offered it to Elmwood Inn guests as Bruce's Best. When people started requesting the mayor's tea, we renamed it Mayor's Cup. For years, it was the politically correct cup of tea for our town!

This tea is relaxing, warming, and comforting. It is one of my top goto teas when I am under stress, for me the flavor is very relaxing.
Really enjoying this blend. Never tried a blend with Darjeeling, and it has a smooth but complex flavor. Hopefully the mayor had time to govern in between sipping this tea.
