I bought a few different teas when I first found Elmwood Inn Fine Teas online. I was intrigued by the description of Silk Road, perhaps because of seeing rhubarb there as one of the flavors. I have always loved rhubarb pies and so I went with this. I have to say, on its own, the flavoring is really too strong for my taste. Whether that is the rhubarb, or the combination with the caramel and vanilla flavorings, and the coneflower petals, I couldn't really say. I've discovered that one part the Silk Road tea and two parts a Scottish Breakfast tea has made a really tasty cup of tea. I add milk to it, and sweeten it as per my usual black tea with milk. The flavor of the Silk Road is strong enough to come through even with this one-third to two-thirds ratio against a plain strong black tea. As such, it's very enjoyable as an occasional switch from regular black tea.

I was in a little bakery in Frankfort and saw Elmwood Inn teas there. I love several of Elmwood’s teas so I thought I’d give Silk Road a try. It is so good! Smooth, pleasing to the pallet and just plain delicious! I’ll be ordering more very soon!
